A figure in a chariot suggests movement and yet is stuck in a stone block.
The two winged sphinxes face different directions and are floating on water representing our emotions and this card is ruled by the zodiac sign of Cancer.
The book and phrase 'Feel the fear and do it anyway' by Susan Jeffers springs to my mind when I see this card.
Emotions can be so controlling and utterly gripping at times and they can totally take over. Sometimes it's necessary to take charge and use willpower and determination to make a move forward and release ourselves from that stone block of fear.
Manifestation is a word that's used every day now and the practice requires concentration and thought projection to 'imagine' our desired future into being. By using manifestation and determination it's possible to release ourselves from that stone block of procrastination or whatever it is for you and engage our minds in a more positive forward flowing direction.
The protection of the universe is represented in the card by the canopy of stars that forms the roof of the chariot.
The winged sphinxes of opposite colour represent our choice in direction.
The buildings shown in the distance can be seen as either the formal structures of authority that we want to escape from but can also be the reassuring 'fall-back' of somewhere safe should we feel need it.
Our mind is an incredible thing but sometimes we need to re-mind it that the story doesn't have to stay the same. We can 'change our mind' and introduce a new story any time we need to. It's simple but it's not always easy..!
